HELP w/ DATING!! Would this be weird / too forward of me? (see question)?

k here's the deal. my friends have been trying to set me up with this guy who i've never met. I really want to meet him and from what i've heard my friends say, he wants to meet me too.

They gave me his phone number, but i'm too scared to talk to just call somebody up out of nowhere who i've never met. Would it be weird or too forward if i sent him a text or something? I'm like way scared. I dunno what to do.HELP!

Have your friends give him your email address instead and start talking that way until you are comfortable.

It wouldn't be weird. When friends try to hook you up with people, the other party is probably just a nervous as you are. Just call and talk to the person- once you ease into it you won't be as nervous.

Go for it. If its a true set up and it might work, then he should call you. He's the guy, its his job.

Don't sweat it so much.
If you'd feel more comfortable emailing him and introducing yourself that way, that might be a good idea. Then you can talk back and forth a little and then exchange numbers.

If someone called me out of the blue, I'd think it was pretty strange.

I say go for it! My friends did the same thing to me too, and it turned out pretty good. Once you get on the phone with him and start talking it will be okay. He must be a pretty good guy if your friends want to set you up with him. I say go for it, you might regret it later. good luck!
