I just got called in to work tomorrow?

I haven't had a day off since January 25th and was looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, but of course I get a call to come in cause the stupid girl who was supposed to work has decided to take a "personal day"

who else hates their job as much as I do????

just tell them no, that you need a personal day.
better yet.....find a job you like!

tell them you cant come in because u have a dentist appointment or a general check up at the doctor's tel them its the only time u can go SINCE YOU'VE WORKED ALMOST EVERYDAY SINCE JAN

I love my job but hate having to go in when it's supposed to be my day off and someone decides to do what your co worker just did. Lately I've been telling them I have an important appointment and they would need to find someone else.

do you live in the usa? if so, look up the one day in seven act. (EDIT: i just looked it up and apparently it's just in my state, sorry. do you live in illinois?) next time they call you in, just say no. you are only required to work your own shifts, not other people's, they can't fire you for not coming in on your day off.
also, i hate my job, i hate it so much. my new boss is a sexist and a racist, and a moron, and i can't afford to quit until i find another job. :(

call in sick...say you think that your body has worn itself out without a day off and got something. it will be true soon if you don't get some peace. YOU deserve it.

Next time they call dont answer and if they leave you a message call them the next day and tell them oops I left my phone over so and so house and I just picked it up so I just got the message sorry. OO and the next time you have work make sure to make a big deal that you will be doing something important or that you are goin out of town or something on that day.

You say you haven't had a day off since Jan 25? That's not that long ago. Suck it up and call off when you really are sick, you might get in trouble.

Use your caller ID from now on. Then retrieve the message so you have time to respond instead of on the spot. That happened to me and I had appt for both cats to get fixed. One was in heat so it was a no brainer.

i get called in all of the time but it is optional if you want to cover the shift or not. if you want a personal day, just say no. they won't do anything to you for wanting your day off.
