On lost do you think it could have been naomi in the casket ?

she is neither friend or familly to jack but both jack and kate knew her well enough to care? and they were planning on bringing her body back. or maybe ben since they wanted him so badly. and why isn't kate gone crazy in the fast forward like jack and hurley? I hope at the end of the final episode they will put out a bonus disk explaining the answers to all the questions step by step. they need to make an hour episode explainin what every thing meant. the black smoke, the phsycic powers, flash forwards, exct. a bonus episode called lost answers would be nice when the show is entirely over.

Nope. Naomi was a minor character who didn't really have an impact on the Losties or the viewers. We need to care about who's in the casket, and frankly, Naomi would be a big disappointment. I think it might be Ben. Michael doesn't make sense to me because Walt would have attended the funeral. Why Kate isn't going crazy? Because my theory is that she is a mother now and needs to stay grounded and focused. I think she was pregnant with Sawyer's baby when she left the island (remember, the fertility rates are really high on the island according to Juliet). Also, Jack didn't freak out immediately because in last week's episode Hurley is freaking out while Jack is calm. In last year's finale Jack was freaking out. Perhaps Kate will reach a point where she too is consumed by the guilt of leaving the other survivors behind.

I will bet my yam bags it is Ben. And in that episode, the funeral director guy refers to the person in the casket as a "him". So it is a guy in there!

I doubt it. Whoever it was had just died. The flash forward to when the body was in the casket was obviously months (or more) after their rescue. Naomi would have been very ripe by then.

No, it can't be Naomi. Jack already knows she's dead. In his flash forward episode, he seemd really upset by the person's death like it is news to him. uh uh, no way.

I expect Naomi's body gets left on the island, she's definitely not the person in the casket. Remember, in the flashforward Jack found out about the death in the newspaper and was shocked to the point of suicide. He'd only known Naomi five minutes and already knew she was dead...

The body in the casket wasn't Naomi's, but I don't think that it was Ben's either. I am wondering if the body is Syide's because the funeral director said that no one showed up and Syide didn't have any family in the US. Jack respected Syide and it would explain why he was upset. I think that Kate isn't freaking out because she is stronger than Jack and firmly believes she is meant to be me and not on the island.
