Long, complicated situation with a guy. care to help?

Well, it all started out last year when we had a last hour class together. I was in 10th grade and he was in 12th. We started making googley eyes at each other on a regular basis, and before you know it, one day the bell rings and we follow each other outside and we start making out---and we hadn't even spoken yet at this point.

So that was a Friday in the middle of my sophomore year, and the weekend after, I saw him at a basketball game. Hormones raged and as you can imagine, stuff happened between us. It was a purely mutual physical relationship. He treated me well and we enjoyed each other's company.

Now fast forward to last summer. My parents were on a month-long trip in Europe and it was late in August when my brother had already left for college, so I had the house all to myself. He basically lived at my house for a week and that's when we had (protected) sex. He's my first lover and my first "boyfriend"... but I'm not even sure I'd call him a boyfriend.

I love him a lot, actually, and he cares for me too. He stands up for me and takes care of me, it's just our relationship started out kinda weird, wouldn't you say?

Well, now, I'm a smart kid. I'm dual-enrolling at the local University, which means I'll spend my entire 11th grade year as a freshman in college. He'll have a dorm room at this college. This is my dilemma: he asked me to stay with him in his dorm room. It's a single. I don't know what to do. I mean, of course I WANT to, and my parents are really loose about stuff, so they wouldn't mind.

But what are the possible downfalls of staying with him? Am I "growing up too fast"? If so, how and why? I can't take back what's been done. I'm on the Pill. Should I go for it? I just don't know...

I think you should enjoy your teenage years and not so worried about guys. As smart as you probably are, college is tough and you should definitely focus on your education. The guys will always be around. Plus, if you and this guy wait things out, continue your friendship, really get to know each other, then who knows what might happen. However, I think it's great that you have someone on campus that you can be close to, just don't spend ALL your time with him. You'll make new friends and who knows who else you might meet. You are young - enjoy it! Good luck!

I am an old Mom and I think... slow down!!! It is fun to be in a relationship but it is fun to take your time to grow up. you will have years and years of college and living outside of your house and all of that. Stop and smell the roses... have him get you roses... think of what YOU really want out of life and this relationship. People say life is short but not that short.
