Frenectomy (penis wise)?

I was circumsized in 2006 and the doctor did a fine job, except he forgot to cut off my frenum (the thin piece of skin underneath the head/glans). I wouldn't care, except lately it's been causing me pain and tightening, and it looks a bit short. It sorta pulls my glans forward forcefully when I get hard.

I looked it up, and I think I have what's called a frenum breve. They said the treatment for that is a "frenectomy" which cuts it away.

Should I have it done? I'm so scared to have another surgery now...but I don't know what else to do. It hurts quite a bit.

I went to the doctor and she referred me to the urologist's office (a diff one then I got the circumcision at). And I called the new office to book an appt. they said I have to go back to the original urologist. I tried it again, and even with a referral both times, the urology receptionist acted like I was committing a crime by calling again and not going to the original guy, saying, "What don't you understand, WHY do you...

...keep calling here?!"

Uh sorry lady, I DO have a referral here. I just don't feel like I should have to go back to that guy, because this isn't circumcision related. I mean, the pain from the frenum is not because of the circum. It just started happening.

I have insurance there, so shouldn't I be able to CHOOSE you I want to see?

yes get it done

wow dude, take care of your goods man, no matter who does it, good luck.

go to the office, and talk to the lady in person. tell her what's happening, and why you want to go there.

Yes you can go to any doctor you want as long as he is in your healthcare network i would find a differnt one if he wants to act like that i wouldnt give him my buisness

I know exactly what you're going through. I was uncircumcised in Vietnam. Having Jungle sex my cord ripped and I was bleeding. I was told that it was too dirty to do a circumcism in the Jungle. So they did the Frenectomy, the only thing I felt was the needle in the head.

the circimcism was much worse. but I was circumcised later by three drunken corpsmen in Japan. I felt every cut. so in your case the worst is behind you. You must get it done or it will tare with use anyway.

Good luck
