Extend Land Line Phone via Internet?

I currently have a land line phone. I will be working out of state for a while and want to know how I can access that phone line via the internet. I'm not talking about VOIP or just forwarding the number. I want to pick up an internet connected phone in another city and dial the call through my land line back home or receive a call from that line. Thanks!

impossible...its landline for a reason..landlines have cables and pairs they work off of..and there is no way to do what you want...call forwarding or accessing your voicemail is your only options..

If your service provider has got a feature called Single number reach or one number reach you can access your phone and fax from internet provided that you have coverage .

Single number reach is with Bell canada.
