Any way to get my old sbcglobal email addy back?

I moved to a new area that sbcglobal internet does not service for whatever reason, so I was forced to change internet providers. i had the same email address for years and then it just went **poof** one day. I attempted to log in and it told me "no can do". It let me change all my addresses and saved emails over to a new @yahoo.com addy, but it won't forward me anything that anyone might try to send to my old address. Frankly, it is freaking me out because I was in the middle of a job hunt and was waiting to hear back from a few folks... who had my old resume. My phone number changed too so they can't even call me. I just want my old email addy back! Is there any way???

Once an account is cancelled for any reason usually all the info on it is cancelled also. You could try calling SBC and tell them your situation. Their number is the internet number on your previous monthly bill. Maybe there is some way they can help you. It's worth a try. Others have had luck there.

I have exactly the same problem, an explanation of which I put in the mailbox. If I get an answer, I'll send it you.
