My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years. Now, we both want to get married.?

For the longest time he would not tell his mom about us. When he did she was very nice. He says she isnt keeping well and thats why he didnt tell her. That didnt make sense to me. Anyway, we have a long distance rlshp and he was suppose to come over. But whenever i ask him he doesnt seem to have thought about it or postpones it. We want to get married at the end of this year and he hasnt even once mentioned how hes excited about it or is even looking forward to it. i keep asking him he wants to do it and he says i love you lods and want to be with you. He is busy with work most of the time an has no time to meet my friends or relatives. I am not sure he wants to be with me but he calls me everyday and makes an effort to be involved in my life. What do i do?

Never rush in to marriage. If you can see that he isn't as keen as you, then be cautious. It would really be best to be spending more time in person with the person you are going to settle down with for the rest of your life.
It's better to wait then be sorry.. I really hope all goes well.

wait a year. if it's meant to be, it will be. maybe then you will have more time for each other. cause i promise you, just cause you're married, doesn't make it any easier.

Are you two engaged? Where do you guys live? Is one of you supposed to move at the end of the year so you can get married? Maybe you should wait untill you're both in the same place and try living in the same area for at least 6 months or something, get a chance to get to know eachothers' friends, families, etc, and then see if you BOTH still want to get married.

My simple answer is no, don't do it, you need to wait longer. My last ex and I were together about 2 years and it ended horribly, wait a little longer

I suggest you ask him if he is married and just enjoying the attention he is getting from you. Also do not contact him for at leasrt 2 weeks and then see if he makes the effort. If not you know you are on to a loser.

Be patient and be firm, you have to let him know that these things are important to you, as well as definate deal breakers if he won't do them. Men gat caught up in the bigger picture constantly and when we think of marriage it is usually not YAY! it is often times, HOW THE HELL CAN I AFFORD THIS, or WIVES ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THEN CARS AND I CAN'T AFFORD A CAR. Give him time and maybe suggest that you guys postpone the date if it is stressing him out. He won't tell you if it is, you have to sense it...

men are generally not so enthusiastic about weddings. it may not necessarily mean they dont want to get married.

but so many other things should show that he wants to be with u. have you visited his parents before? has he visited your parents before? does he talk about the future and relocation?

so many other things will make you know how he feels about you. two years is quite enough time. but you may still need more time.

I think it is best you don't rush him into it. He has to convince himself fully that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you. He might not value you too if you keep asking him about it. Remember the saying - easy come, easy go. Play cool now and make him do the chase. It would be more exciting and you too would feel justified.

I'm in a long distance relationship this year, because my fiance's away at college. We've been together for 5 years, so we had a long time to build a foundation before he had to go. Even so, it's easy to get sidetracked and forget about each other, because there's not much in your life to remind you of them. You can get through it with regular phone calls and lots of discipline, but it does put more strain on a relationship than if you were in the same city.

I find that without seeing each other we're often out of synch: we'll both miss each other, but at different times. So sometimes I say 'I miss you' and he avoids saying it back, and other times vice-versa. Try not to become a nag, DEMANDING that he be excited and so on - it should come naturally, but might not come when you're expecting it. When you see each other regularly, you get more in synch. Also, it might genuinely be a very busy time at the moment. He should meet your friends and relatives, but make sure you give him enough flexibility to make sure he can make it on the day (eg: ask him when would be a good week to take him to visit aunty so-and-so). If he's still not keen, I wouldn't marry a guy who's not interested in my family.

If you're not seeing each other often, wait a bit on getting married. You should at least have a couple of months together in the same city first, to get used to each other and make sure you don't drive each other crazy;p. Specially if you have doubts now, you don't want to find yourself promised forever to someone you can't live with.
