A service which marks over explicit words from books? |
I would enjoy reading the work of some authors but I find their work containing words I find so offensive I am unable to get past the first few pages. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a service which will marker over offensive words from books I either send or purchase through the business. I remember a local VHS store in my city that did that with video tapes, but I've never heard of this being done with books. I hear what you're saying and i do agree. i think some of the answers here just show peoples' ignorance. unfortunately, i don't know of any place or service that does this. Umm -- it's called "censorship", and it's generally frowned upon. My father never cursed, yet was able to overlook offensive words without a thought and was an avid reader of writers who used powerful language. They are simply dark marks on a page and cannot hurt, sully, or corrupt you if you don't let them. Yeah I agree, maybe you just should stick to Happy Sunshine books about bunnies and the such.. Censorship? I had a boss that made me paint swim suits on Greek nude goddesses. |
