The question I have for you is what is this business of having Muslim kids sing in a Christian service?

As some of you might now i work on Peace initiatives overseas of my own volition and for free and i never take money for it because it is for peace and we should all do it! The question above was asked by a My Friends Wife who happens to be living in the west bank she had sent me an email about the above question what are your views on the subject? Thank you for your trusting me in this trying position of assimilation, I agree with you 100% that it reeks of misrepresentation! This business of having Muslim kids singing in a Christian service is not a bad thing necessarily it is only bad if they do not know what they are singing and that the songs and rituals do not contradict or does not conflict with the beliefs and practices of Islam, which in this case it does! Should it be exposed, definitely, is there something going on yes & what is it about, I will tell you now that it is about money & trying to get those dollars from other countries and groups around the world trying to use missionary funds and make it available to fund to such fiascos! There are so many people that I hung around when I was a child that had different beliefs then myself I hung out with them but keep my standards..I respect all religions and find nothing wrong with learning the ways of life.....Its called Social Unity.It is the parents job to place their child in a school and lifestyle of their choice.This is the only way they can lessen the desire to mingle or stray from their faith..Now should a muslim child or adult to forced to sing or anything else that is against their religion or willing do something that they don't understand;NO...Did the parents object to it before hand? I don't go to sites...nonetheless if the words were Jesus is God then I understand but the children pratice first why didn't the parents stop it...............Grounded wisdom is not easily removed........I believe Jesus is the Son of God and only God can tell me he is not just like only God can tell me he is Jesus in the flesh.............Teach this to all children who believe in God regardless to what he is called.LOVE for Understanding the unavoidable without forceful change That's UNITY in a Nation of free will/different opinions..........Blessings Yahoo

I really didn't gather much information from the blog. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem if my daughter's choir sang Muslim or Jewish songs. I would have a problem if the songs of certain religions were banned while the songs from other religions were mandatory.

Just recently put up is a polite list of guidelines that all clergy, no matter what their denomination is, should consider in the era of instant communication. The problem is getting off the high horse of superiority. No pain, though, no gain...

Freedom of religion involves the liberty to worship ones own God and follows ones own religious tradition and to insist on the contrary practise is negation of freedom. Consider also the fact that in Islam countries, preaching other than Islam is an offence.

For Muslims there is no service .............
if you think they have to join in a assembly you should tell then read the Quranic verses, it is good for all Muslims kid & they can understand their religion also.

Muslim kids in christan schools are forced, obliged tempted or encouraged to sing in christian services with the intention to convert them to christianity slowly through sub conscience.

BRING ME NO MORE OF YOUR VAIN SACRIFICES YOUR FEASTS AND FESTIVALS MEAN NOTHING TO ME, YOUR CALLING OF ASSEMBLIES THEY ARE INQUITY I CANNOT BEAR THEM NOT EVEN YOUR SOLOM MEETING. Maybe you ought to understand what that means.

Thats my view.

singing does not mean they have to believe the words. if it was part of a school activity or from choice I see nothing wrong with it.

it wasn't just me .. it was me and my christian friends
i was in a christian school .. my parents didn't mind the fact I'd go to it for many reasons
so they chose a few students to sing in a church and i was one .. never thought of why shouldn't i go ..
i do believe in some parts of the bible .. and other parts i disagree on .. so it's not like i think Christianity is a false believe
EDIT: gnt .. i can't speak on behalf of the christians but i can assure you they didn't try to convert me at all .. they respected me being a muslim .. we even preyed together and many were respectfull .. actually it enhanced my faith as a muslim because they were intrested in what i do ..
