What do you think of this business idea.?

The name of the business will be healing hummus (Double H for short). It will be a vegan fast food chain. I will focus on placing franchises in service areas along major highways. I feel there is a quickly growing market for this, and as I vegan myself, I want veganism to be more mainstream.

The purpose of the business will be two-fold

First, we will promote veganism. We will do this thought a once a year festival where we give free samples out.

Secondly, we will try to make vegan's lives easier by having 100% vegan food. Non of our cooking surfaces or utensils will have been touched by animal produces.

In order to be a success, in promotions we will focus on health, see as this is what main stream America is interested in. At the very least, I hope my actions in the fast food market will push my competitors to place a vegetarian and vegan options.

Do I have a shot, I would like to launch in 4 years, right after I graduate from college. Can I get funds in that time.

I don't like the name and would not eat there regularly - I'm not vegan - but I think you got a good idea. I'd try building your restaurant in areas where there is a high vegan population. You can check out local restaurants and see if they have a vegan selection. Also being near vegan specialty stores. Although smaller markets might not have such stores does not mean there is no market. If you know of plenty of people who are in your area who would eat at your restaurant then it would be good to make one.

Just because I don't like the name doesn't mean it wouldn't appeal to Hummus/Vegan eaters, as I'm not vegan and don't understand their philosophy doesn't mean you don't. Report It

I like it. I'd eat there. That said, look at most of America. Overweight, all-you-can-eat buffet addicts. California would be the place to start. Good Luck.
