Evaluation of Functional Areas?

Help! i'm in a GCSE business class aiming for a distinction but I have no idea about this task :
"Evaluate how the functional areas contribute to the aims and objectives of the two selected businesses"
The two businesses i'm doing are Tesco's and the National Blood Service. Please could someone help.

We really don't understand what you are asking. You haven't given us enough information. We don't know what the "functional areas" are, for example. You may need to clarify your question, or post it in a different category, to get help with it.
