"employer" can terminate "employee" at anytime, legal reason.

Government jobs are still secure. Ever work for a state government and represented by the union? You will job for life.

Then again, why not create your own job? Instead working for someone, why not have someone working for you?

The only "secure" jobs in history were those of slaves, serfs & "workers" in Communist states. Now that even Cuba has redundancies, the only place left is North Korea. You can visit their embassy In Beijing & see if they'll give you an immigration visa.

Yes. "Secure jobs" no longer exist in the US. The one exception would be a government job. It's very difficult to get fired or even laid off from that, but it does happen.

The next best option is to be self-employed.
