Fundraising query!?

I was wondering whether it is legal to fundraise for a business? I currently run a service that provides free revision notes for students and would like to raise some money to so I can add to the service I run, hire some staff and pay myself a wage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sure, you can fundraise - you just can't claim you are a charitable organization, and the people donating can't deduct their contributions on their taxes.

You need to be a registered charity which is a lot of hardwork.

* the organisation has a total income of more than 拢1,000 a year
* the organisation has land, including buildings that qualify for business rates
So the fact that you want to fundraise to benefit yourself I dont think will be allowed.

Have you tried the princes trust as they help people set up business's but wont help charities
