Mall almost empty HELP!?

There is a mall in my hometown that is still open and has a Belk and JC Penny that are functioning very well and at the top of there game, the mall has two more large vacant department stores once occupied by Uptons and Service Merchandise. It is obvious the owners dont care what happens to the mall because they have done nothing to help the malls business. How would i go about contacting mall retail group owners to possibly buy out the mall? What are some good mall owner companies that i could talk to? Thanks!

It's nice to see that you are civic-minded, but because you are not the OWNER of the mall, other mall operators would consider it a waste of time to discuss it with you. Whoever does own the mall may not want to sell it. BTW, this situation is repeated all over the place--many malls have vacant anchors because the department store business is not what it used to be.

Buying out retail in this business cycle does not make any sense.

We are in a recession.

The owners of the mall are saving their resources for better times.

Think twice before you buy retail in the BEGINNING of a recession.
