Has anyone else had problems with CA's (computer associates) rebate program? |
I bought one of their products in February. I mailed in all of the necessary info. Their website shows they received everything March 2nd and that it was being processed. Their website has said the exact same thing since March 2nd. It was SUPPOSED to take 6-8 weeks to get the check. It has now been 13 weeks. I have contacted their customer service via e-mail 4 times and by phone twice. The last time I e-mailed them, their response was that the check would be mailed by May 25th. I called today to check on it and they told me that there had been a delay in processing my rebate, that the check had not been mailed yet, and that "all we can do" is to put an urgent status on the file. I "should receive a check within 15 business days." I spoke to a CSR supervisor and let them know I was not happy. Is there anything else that I can do? Did you buy it from Tigerdirect.com? It sounds like it based on the problems you're having. A lot of the complaints people have involving rebates for computer equipment, software and also sometimes rebates for Computer Associates software - all lead back to a company called onrebate.com which is owned and operated by tigerdirect. Take it from somebody who worked there, unless you threaten onrebate/tigerdirect with legal action you will never get your money. |
