Can I sue yahoo.?

They accused of something that I did not do. I filed four different appeal charges, and they failed to respond to any of them within four weeks. This has caused my business to severely decrease in profit. All of my clients emails where on this account. I called them once again tonight and asked if there was anyway to regain this account. They simply said no, you have to make a new one. The service was horrendous. I did not get my emails or contacts back. Is there anyway I can sue yahoo?

Ok, thanks, i really appreciate it, (sarcasm). You didnt answer my question first of all, and second, if i wanted to know what email to use for my business i would ask it. It's possible. Check the terms of use, though. It has a pretty broad termination clause, as well as disclaimers and a limitation of liability clause. I suppose it's possible that these things might not hold up, and you'd have to consult a lawyer in your jurisdiction to be sure.

Exclusively using free web-based email for client contact and management is simply a bad idea, regardless. Investing in an address book might be a good idea, for the future.

I would have to think it is poor buisness practice to use any free email service as primary method of contact. Yahoo or MSN or hotmail or Gmail or any of those services can terminate your account or the entire service without notice to you. It is not a service you pay for so you have no stake in it to claim. Most ISP companys provide an email account some offer several email accounts and often times you can check your email on the go via the IPS web site (ie comcast.net, cox,net) Such service providers will not likely terminate your email account.

Personally, I would AVOID Yahoo for a business email account. Lesson learned, move on.

If a lawyer contacts Yahoo, they will probably fold on this issue, but is it really worth it?

Get a lawyer and seek his advise. Not really sure what can be done.
