If a business charges $200/hr. for services, how much would 12 hrs., 43 min. be?

Please also explain how I can figure this out on my own in the future. Is there a specific formula to follow? Thanks.

Obviously for the 12 hours the cost is $2400. Then for the 43 minutes you need to know in what increment they bill.

Some professional offices bill in 6 minute increments, with every hour having 10 increments. This means you are billed for 6 minutes even if you use only a portion of the 6 minutes, so 43 minutes is billed at 8 increments (48 minutes). which would be 8 increments x $20 = $160. So your total bill would be $2560.

Well, nobody pays per mintues - so the 43 minutes is rounded up to an additional hour.

So overall, you have 13 hours.

13 x 200 = 2600

$2,400.00 once you go into the hour you are generally charged for the whole hour.

They would charge for 13 hrs, so it would be $2600
