Small Business - Car Pool Service?

I am considering starting a "car pool" service. I live in an area where many people, including myself, drive in excess of 150 miles round trip to work each day. I would start an LLC for this venture.

I have two questions:
1) Will I be able to use my current vehicle until I have enough riders to buy a van ?
2) What tax issues will I run into? ( ie, what can and can't i write off )

forget tax issues.

a while; that just holds things up for 1 mo.
become a proprietorship [that is
by default so you are a biz now!!!]
and buy insurance.

you will be a transport company
and watch out for your insurance
costs.

write a biz plan.

[and ask an engineer to help you
make or modify an engine to do
what Honda has; 1/2 gas and
1/2 electric]

1) using your personal car for public utility is an offence. You cant do it. (2) Tax issues depends upon your country rules & regulation. (Abount write off - you did't mention what account head it is, is it Depreciation ? )
