I want to start my own online business.?

There problem is I don't have a clue. I am a professional designer and editor, and want to start an online business either set up a store or create a form of service.

Does anyone have an idea how to go about it. Is there any websites on starting an online business. Do I have to register company, pay taxes, how do I market?
HELP!

You can operate as a sole proprietor and don't really have to incorporate as a company. Focus on finding a model that works for you. You could create a site that showcases your portfolio and then use sites like elance.com to bid for work that suits your profession. I am a professional filmmaker too and can setup a portfolio site for you for free. I have some templates that can work well for online portfolios.

I would also strongly reccomend you look at books, as well as websites. I know there are tons of books out there personally I like - It is possible to make money online. I do strongly suggest you throughly research everything first, then go on and decide what is best for you :)

Try reading http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1933596... which is "The AdSense Code: What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense" by Joel Comm. And http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0979192... which is "A Practical Guide to Affiliate Marketing: Quick Reference for Affiliate Managers & Merchants" by Evgenii Prussakov.

They might not be 100% what you're looking for, if you're planning on selling your own goods/services but would be useful if you're planning on selling other people's/companies products :) I guess this answer is more to point out that you need to look beyound just websites at the moment and will need a wider vairety of sources of info if you want to succeed :)

I would advice you to know the fundamantel of online business first, how to start online business and many more things. I am not an internet GURU, but I run a free website helping others to learn online business.

You should know these few things first:
STEP 1 - FIRST, IDENTIFY A BUSINESS SECTOR & MODEL YOU WANT TO FOCUS

STEP 2 - SECOND, CREATING YOUR WEBSITE or BLOG ~ if required

STEP 3 - THIRD, PROMOTE YOUR WEBSITE OR LINKS

You may learn all these at my free tutorial site at:

Wish you all the best.

Do you have a business plan right now!!!!
