What do you pay for maid service?

I have started a business with two partners and we are not agreeing on an hourly rate to charge customers for standard maid services. I'm wondering what you pay an hour? How much would you pay for if they consistently did a great job?

I clean houses. Been doing it for almost 5 years now.

I charge a flat rate , depending on the square footage and how many bathrooms there are.
It averages out to about $22 an hour. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.

A basic 3 bd 2 bath house takes me about 4 hours and I get $85. I also use my own cleaning supplies.

Decide ahead of time what you are going to charge for 'extra' services (because your customers WILL ask). Like cleaning mini-blinds or washing ceilings.

If you show up on time and demonstrate that your clients can TRUST you - they will love ya!

It depends on the size of the house. I did this years ago...but an average house of about 3 beds, 1 to 2 baths...I charged 60 and then went up from there!

It also depends on if you use your own cleaning supplies or the customers. I used my own...so that is why I charged a little more!

I pay $80 every week for 2 people for about 2 hours.
