How can i improve my computer business?

hey guys, im trying to start my own computer business, offering services such as custom builds, fitting new pcs out the box, and fitting/installing new hardware (internal and external) and software. firstly i would just like any ideas of a decent pricing method and secondly i was just wundering how i could improve on what ive got already, ive already put window adverts up but dont want to invest in any bigger adverts untill i get this all sorted. thanks for any help you can give in any way.

Create a website. Nothing hard core unless you want it to be. Just an online brochure of your services and stuff. If you create it in publisher or another web designing software then find a person to upload it for you it should cost under $300.00. Have it so people can leave comments and an email to email them.

When you are on site you can go to that web site and sign them up and show them your site.

Create a newsletter nothing huge just a couple pages with tips and tricks and some of the services you offer too. Publish it every three months and send it to the email list you have compiled from your web site.

Create business cards from MS Publisher and leave them EVERYWHERE. Do some guerrilla advertising. Google it to see what I mean. Start a blog and have it link up to others. Pick one topic even if it's been covered by a million others and blog about it. It could be your comp builds. Go into detail why you are choosing this Video card over the other.

Get a copy of Chamber of Commerce book and create a database of the listings then create a postcard with 20% coupon attached and see how many hits you get. This one is kinda costly so have at least $500.00 back for it.

I did this when I started out and I still do today. You can't beat cheap and free advertising. You will see your bottom line increase greatly. Good Luck I wish you the best.

Craigslist gets millions of hits, and you can advertise free or at a low cost.
