I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and need career advice?

I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and have work in the computer and telecommunication industry for over 10 years. I just finished my degree and need some advice as what kind of pay range is accurate for my degree and my background. I have mostly worked in computer networking arena and I have 3 certifications. A+, remote access and Multi-service WAN/LAN Communication Lucent technologies (LCIE Certification). I live in MI and the market is kinda depressed. I need to stay in Michigan because my parents are old and need me.

Skills are more important than a degree in the computer and telecommunications fields, as I am sure you're aware. Generally companies go internal when seeking to fill management positions, so your degree does nothing for you if you are looking to start with a new company. You will need to get in on your technical experience and abilities alone. However, once you are there, your degree will definitely help in establishing a track towards a leadership position.

In a depressed market like Michigan, I would expect you to have a hard time finding anything over the 50k range. In other markets you may be able to command closer to 70.
