Starting tech support services..?

Hello. A local business has asked me to effectively be their PC/Network tech support, which I will provide on a per-hour charge. I have never done this sort of thing before. What do I need to do ethically, legally, and financially?

Do I need to register somewhere as a contractor? Create a company name? Provide invoices?

Should I create a new bank account to which all my revenue should go? I will obviously keep track of the revenue and report to IRS, but is that all that is needed?

Any advice would be welcome as I start in a few days!

BTW, I am fully employed elsewhere with all benefits, so this is like a side job.

you may want to start an LLC, fewer federal taxes and gives your business a type of formality, if thas what you want. You can go to city hall and ask for the forms. It should be about 50 bucks or more, depends on the state. Just search it online or go to city hall.
