Will people pay for a Wedding/Event Planner?

I have a plan to start a wedding/event planning business...i was just wondering from others if they would be willing to pay for that type of service? i know when i got married, i wished someone took all the headaches away from me so that i could enjoy every aspect of it! would love to hear anyones input on this! thanks

Heck YES! This is a lucrative business for the energetic, people person who loves to multi task!

Most people believe that since this is their once-in-a-lifetime experience and they save for years for it. However many eventually find out that they will be paying for more than ONE wedding in their lifetime! Even more people get into debt from day one of their marriage BECAUSE of their "fairy tale" wedding day bills!

I think that should answer your question about whether people would be willing to pay for such a service.

While you could go into actual Wedding/Event planning there are lots of niches that you can specialize in on a smaller budget and done part time :

- making and supplying wedding favors. You can easily start an online business built around this niche.
- wedding gowns, suits and accessories rentals.
- floral and balloon arrangements for weddings/events.
- catering for weddings and events.
- photography and video recording for wedding/events
- audio/visual rental for weddings/events.
- limo, specialized car rentals for weddings
- entertainment for weddings/bridal showers/stag nights

Depends on where you live but yes the business is very popular and profitable. I was in the wedding business for over 20 years.

its already a very big thing .. people spend thousands on weddding planners .
