Am i making good money? or. am I unreasonable?

The question comes to my mind, I have been working my job for one-year now. My boss is kind of a grinder, a super nice guy, but he is "tight". I haven't recieved a raise, but due to company expansion my bonus' have been increasingly better. I am in my first year of law school, 20 year old female, I am proficient in all microsoft programs, the internet, building a joomla website, I have an equivalency of an associates, I type 90+ wpm, I can copy-write, I have excellent phone and customer service skills and deadline project manage.
I make 12.50 p/hr and around $400 monthly bonus
so it ends up being {2} paychecks of $831 and then one check of $400. so it comes out to $2062. When looking online I can see job openings making $20.00 p/hr that I am qualified for, s I have been working in the business/customer service field for 2.5 years, and have a lot of experience with my parents businesses.. What do you think, am I under-paid?
Also, I am a good worker, on-time, stay after need be. :)

Being underpaid on purpose is not the same as being underpaid because of affordability. If you need more money, go out and get it- you know you can. But....if you think that your boss is being stingy with you and he's paying you as LITTLE as he can, let him know you need more money and you'er going to have to get it one way or another.

Just because your boss is super nice - doesn't mean that the job is right for you. If you can make more - and be happy elsewhere that is your preferance.

Be careful - you cannot always make what you want and be happy with your job and vice versa!

If you feel like you should move on.., then move on! If you are happy with your job then stay.

You need to sit down and make a list of pros and cons!

Its about average depending on where you live and the cost of living but I agree that if you want to make more money go out and do it. Dont stay for loyalty when you're trying to move up. But take your time looking for something that is worth the extra money too, they might just make you earn every penny of it and you could end up miserable.

I am an administrative assistant that contracts with doctors, hospitals and facities, i do updating, phones, meetings, excels, company database, write letters, went to a vocational school for 2 years for computerized business technolagy. I make 11.00 and no monthly bonus.... im always early, and will stay late... your job sounds good to me.
