Shouldn't this be the other way around??

If you phone a business these days or any service related type place you get the following message: "For English press one." Is that not totally idiotic?! This is the United States of America! English is the primary language spoken here! Shouldn't they ask: "If you want to continue in spanish, press..."

Disagree. If you knew anything about how those phone answering systems, you'd understand that a choice being made gets you to the right menu faster than sitting there and listening to all the options and then waiting for the default to kick in.
