Does anyone else agree that ITV's On Demand Service is a pile of crap?

I often try to watch programmes on ITV's online service (itv.com/catchup) and it is always an infuriating business.

It plays chapters out of order, skips chapters, plays the same advert 5 times in a row, or sometimes just plain doesn't work.

The other main channels work fine (BBC and C4 for example) so why can't ITV get it right? Surely a massive corporation like ITV can afford IT technicians that can get it to work properly.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they may do it purposely to make it play tons of adverts (do they get paid per advert viewed?). I just can't think why it would be so awful.

Surely others have suffered these problems with ITV OD. Please let me know.

I get very poor reception where I am, no digital, no Channel 5, and being in a conservation area can't have satellite, so as I still have to pay for a full licence I'd like to make use of these things. But your right, ITV is next to useless, you never know what channels are available, if any sometimes, Channel 5 want you to pay 拢1.90 a programme, the BBC iPlayer can be OK, I only stream, don't want P2P, but some programmes stream OK while others buffer almost constantly. It drives me nuts. I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to pay full licence fee.

That's why I switched to that new bt Hub BT vision, its much better and as a bonus you get to fast forward through recorded programmes, no more adverts.

I wouldn't demand anything from ITV because ITV is awful.
