Livery business?

I have my own privet yard with two spare stables.
I would like to offer these out on a full livery service,, does any one know if I would then have to pay business rates on my stable yard? if so, any ideas how much this would be??

Stable yard has been here for many years, planning permision not needed.
Insurance already done!

I think you would probably be liable for business rates and obviously tax, etc on any profits from it. To find out how much, contact your local authority and just enquire.

Also check that your insurance covers you to have other people's horses on the property and that you are covered in the event of something happening to the horses whilst in your care or to you caused by one of the liveries.

i dont think so, my friend does this and over here in england, she just puts an advert up in the local shop and away she goes.

I don't know but you do have to have insurance and I think planning permission in case your neighbours complain.
