How to start a telesales business?

Hi, I would really like some advise, I would like to set up my own telesales business, Iv worked in telesales in the past but for the past 5 years have just been customer service phones not sales, I really dont know where to start, how would I gain contracts with companies ect , If anyone has any advise on this business or where I could get advise I would be very great ful, thanks, stacey

This is actually a really good business to go into. How to go about getting leads and contracts though?

I will tell you this I have a person that I network with a lot and one of the services her company provides is telemarketing sales. And she does this on the same scale you would, because she only has one person that does it. She charges $25 an hour with a min. of 4 hours per month.

Now I am going to start using this service of hers with in the next month or so, and not because I have a problem making calls myself, but because I am getting to the point that I don't have time to make the calls myself and can be much more productive if I have someone else doing it for me.

Now, I fit the perfect client that you should go after. I have a small business with 1 part time employee growing to 1 full time employee. And To be more productive and to increase sales need someone else to make calls.

The other client you would target is the small business that needs to increase sales and productivity, but is afraid or is just horrible pitching on the phone.

In either case small businesses is what you should be aiming for. I have a secret source for acquiring leads, but I don't want to publish it on here. Send me an email and I will give it to you no string attached.

The other thing you can do to help getting you started is working from home as a tele professional for either Quest or LiveOps.com. They have a program were you can work from home and set your own schedule, work when you want to. And its all in-bound telemarketing.
