Can i get into Boston College?

I am a junior in high school. I am planning in majoring in Accounting.

DO YOU THINK THAT I CAN GET IN?

Do you guys have any suggestions on haow i can get my SAT score up because I have been studying for about 3 months before i took it and i still got 1540. I did very good in math but not so good in Critical Reading and Writting because i have only been in the US for about 2 years and my vocabulary is not the big.

Your GPA is good enough for any school. Your SAT scores are very low for BC. 75% of those admitted to BC have 1900+.

Think about taking an SAT prep course and retaking the exam. If you aren't taking AP classes -- make sure you take them next year.

Pay a lot of attention to your admissions essay -- it may be what makes the difference.

My suggestion is to retake the SATs. Your score is really quite low; it's a pity, because you're very impressive otherwise. Study hard for the SATs this summer--you can retake them again in the fall. Also try to take the ACT--you may fare better.

With your SAT score as low as it is, getting in is a crapshoot. You need to raise it at least to an 1800 to be competitive.

BC is full of preppy, spoiled, trust fund brats who think their smart. That college is overrated and its not even in Boston.
