Can i get a scholarship to college?

am a junior in high school. I am planning in majoring in Accounting.

3.9 out of 4.00 GPA
1540 out 2400 SATs
200+ Hours of comm service
Business Internship
KEY Club
Play Football
NHS
National Young Leaders Conference/Award

I am also the first one in my whole family going to college.
I speak three languages. Do you think i can get a scholarship to University of Conn?

Can you? - yes. Is it likely? - I have no idea. Your best bet is to contact them. But if you are after scholarships there is an old saying - beggars can't be choosers. Shop around a bit and make a number of applications.

With that GPA I would suggest one of the ivies which are doing a lot to make it affordable for all students - but your sats are the problem. If you can get them up then you may have a shot.

Thanks
Bill

you may get some money, but it depends on your ethnicity and whther or not you intend on playing football in college, bc schools love to give their money to good football plyrs...the only problem is that ur SAT's are low, and uconn is getting harder to get into, especially from out of state...take the SAT's again, and maybe take the sat II in a few courses that you are good at. the internship/coom service helps a lot, but i don't know about a scholarship...there are plenty of people now that do what you are doing plus more...i already have 200 hours+ and i am only a junior...you have to make yourself stand out...you are too cookie cutter to get recognized.

Alvin,
Yes you can qualify for a scholarship. Just start applying for them. I would suggest that you talk to your guidance counselor to give you a list of all the scholarships that are available. Have a great day!
