How can I stop local businesses from leaving unwanted advertisments on my front stairs? |
I keep getting various local businesses leaving restaurant menus, service offerings, local "free" newspapers etc. on my front stairs, attached with elastics to my hand railings, front porch, under my car's windshield wipers. How can I legally get them to stop this? Large angry dog whose runner just reaches the edge of your property. If this is your private house, you can put up No Soliciting signs. If it is an apartment, however, you would have to get the landlord to put up those signs. As for your car, there is virtually nothing that can be done if it is in a public space. If you are really pissed off, you might consider taking the advertisements to the businesses in question and telling them to never return to your address again, or else you will get them for trespassing. Ask the police to charge them with pollution law violations. The second option is to return the flyers and throw them in the merchants' front doors. Banana peels.... |
