I tanslated brazilian songs for the fun of it and its a little tough! I had a 80 avg in h.s I know that wasnt the best but now i know that i need to work alot harder!
Please give me the best advice?
These are the majors that are avaliable the community college that i will attend in August: Business(management and marketing) human services.
Thanks

Check if the business major includes English as a second language as part of the curriculum. You can also check if there are any private schools that teach English in your area. Once you start at your community college, get good grades and request a transfer to a major university, where you can then see if you can switch. On the meantime, read in English, keep listening to music in English, watch movies in English and see if you can watch some T.V. in English (even online you can get episodes of some shows).

Fully learning a language, any language, takes years, but don't give up, even if you don't end up as a translator, it is a huge advantage to speak a second language.

If the college you're going to attend only offers two majors, you'll obviously have to choose one of them. How are you going to improve your language skills? Most translators / interpreters are likely fully bilingual or at least have an advanced degree in the language they're using. If you just started learning a language in high school, you have several more years of study ahead of you. Good Luck.
