Have you ever wanted to be a mortician or funeral director?

I can't imagine being exposed to that environment on a daily basis. Grief stricken people...day after day. Endless church services. Preparation of the deceased. Are you in this business? Or were you raised in a family that was in the funeral business? Isn't it kind of.......depressing? I certainly have nothing against these people. They provide a necessary service. I'm just curious.

Not personally, but I knew a girl in middle school who did. The "emo" movement hadn't quite started yet, but I think she and her group of friends were "precursor emos" shall we say. She was a nice girl, but a few of her friends as I recall were suicidal. I asked her why, and she said that she wanted to help people.

I think it takes a certain type of person to be a funeral director and do that job. You have to be sensitive and caring enough to be able to help grieving families, but you have to be detached enough so that you can do your job without going crazy. The people that can are amazing - I could never do what they do.

Glad to see you didn't get stoned Gandalf ;)

Peace!

it's been a lifelong dream.

Nah, just not my "cup of tea".
