Bright Idea? Ask Iraq to pay for its own war?

Why don't we charge them for everything? If we are in the business of policing the world, should we start charging for our services? Maybe $1,000,000 per dead soldier as well?

Haha. It would be a good idea but how are we going to get them to pay up? They didn't even ask us to get in there. My opinion, we got ourselves into this mess, we get us out. That's what we get for electing a dumb president who didn't think things though. He's the one wasting our soldier's lives away on a pointless war.

We shouldn't charge them, but we should have them pay for their own country's repairs, etc. and for their army payments and everything else that we are paying right now. I get irritated paying trillions to the 3rd largest oil producing nation while I have to pay so much for my own gasoline. Surely they can pay for that, and with the millions more they make per month for their oil, they can pay for lots more.

I think you are misunderstanding the situation. We went over and caused this mess. Let's say another person hit your car and your were injured. You would expect them or their insurance company to pay for your medical, loss of wages, value of your vehicle and so forth. How would you feel if all they said was "Here's your measly check to replace the value of your car" and now your on your own. In the meantime your bills are piling up cause you cant work due to injury, the hospital wants it money or its putting a lean on your house and your neighbors are robbing your blind because they know your injured and taking advantage of the free grill in your back yard. Its the same thing when dealing with them, since we caused the accident we need to take care of all damages from that accident.
