Utilizing Yahoo! Answers To Increase Traffic To A Website? |
The primary reason I am asking this question is that I noticed some of the users at Yahoo! Answers supply a link (URL) to a particular website after they post a question or a detailed response (answer) to a question. I own a small online bookstore and I would like to know if posting the URL of my site after I answered or ask a question violate any restrictions of Yahoo! Answers. I reviewed the "community guidelines" of this site and it mentioned using Yahoo! Answers to accumulate customers for financial purposes is considered to be intrusive and borderline spam. That added to my confusion to what's legal and what's forbidden in terms of posting URLs on this site. I have heard around the grapevine that some marketers use your service to increase traffic to their business. That only increase my curiosity. The last thing I would want to do is post a link to my site and be labeled a spam thug and lose my privileges on this site. Thank you for the answers in advance. Im afraid this is classified as 'Solicting', but many do do it. Cant agree more with you. YA explains its policy about this very clearly in the Help section here: |
