Are a peer to peer person?

I have been following the threads out there in the 'verse, on the issue of ISPs using throttling of customers bandwidth who use P2P services. Bit Torrent type services, actually. Claiming that they are looking for a way to protect the customer and theirselves from any copyright issues by downloaded software, music and such. Do you really believe in 'Net Neturality' and that its your business to use it as you see fit, or do businesses acting as ISPs have the right to moniter and perhaps limit your use of certain applications on the internet? Surely nobody is asleep at the wheel on this issue? Wake up!

Here's the deal Astro,....whereas it is obvious that the majority of net users are not "computer savvy" in a technical way,.....I rather think that no matter how much an entity tries to protect some programming, a really intelligent hack will always be able to crack into someone's stuff,....I mean odnt you think there are folks out there who's jobs it is to just sit there and monitor boring crap like what's on the net?.....of course there are.......so I dont really think it makes all that much difference,.....the term "public domain" will one day soon be "re-undefined"....just like old movies and old books.

i believe the isp has the right to monitor p2p sites. i don't see the internet as anything goes. it's like going into a store and grabing things and walking out without paying for it. i don't know if you remember the napster situation a few years ago, but napster was a p2p site and had to shut down because of copywrite materiel was being downloaded, and a lot of their customers got sued. it was either pay up (usually out of court) or go to jail. limewire is gonna wind up the same way. i can see the isp not wanting to get caught up in the mess where they might get sued too if they knew what was going on.
