Really need some honest advice please...?

I have two years left in the university and must decide what to major in. I want to relocate either internationally or to a smaller community. Aside from retail and food services I have no experience (no office, manufacturing, etc.) but I have 10 years of management experience. I really do not want to do retail again if I can help it. I am a single parent and really need to be able to support us better than I am right now. I know that I do not want anything in the healthcare industry. I also cannot get into the business college (too many requirements to complete in two years) and I will not be able to complete the computer science program in time. What should I do? I really like liberal arts but should I choose that? I like research, designing websites, helping people find resources they need, and more. School subjects I love are: history, anthropology, geography, English, comparative cultures, music, biology, writing. What could I do as a career with these?

Have you taken a career test? That might help give you ideas. Try one of these:

Otherwise, just tossing out some ideas you could consider:

**banking jobs -- many banks are trying to diversify, and would gladly hire a liberal arts major, especially w/ managerial skills
**social worker -- always a need and fits in w/ your skills. Might not be the best salary though.
**How about being a librarian? Would fit in w/ a lot of your skills. Not sure if your school has a library science degree though. English might work too.
**Journalism -- hard to break into, but sounds like you'd be a good magazine writer for a themed magazine.
**Hospitality -- might be able to transfer your food service skills to a hotel, so that you can be front desk manager or something along those lines

Good luck!

If you are cute and sexy, I would consider maybe doing some stripping, I hear it pays well. If you are really into helping people, and even like finances, I would recommend doing financial planning. It is very rewarding, and you can help people plan for their retirement, putting their kids through school. There are so many things you can research for your clients, which help them for the future.
