Are the following standards good enough to get me into UF?

Upon reading another question from a fellow Floridian IB peer of mine i had to wonder whether or not my achievements would be good enough to get me into the prestigious University of Florida. I'm only a sophmore and am in only three extracirricular activities. My plans(which i will fulfill) include playing for my schools baseball team, the wrestling team, water polo and even starting up my schools first chess club. I'm already in a bit of a fraternity at my school and currently have 280 community service hours. I am also in a business program, and a recycling club. I will take my AP exams in a month and have studied to the point that I am confident i will pass them. Unfortunatley my GPA is only a 3.5, but i did score a 1580 on the PSAT. I may be worrying a bit earlier than i should but its never a bad time to began my pre-colegiate plans. P.S. I heared from an alumnist of the university that they are looking to diversify, well whats more diverse than a bahamas born half haitian.

Many top universities are looking to "diversify" so if I was you I would apply to some Ivy League schools also when it comes time. The quality of education you will get at Ivy Leagues will be better than at UF since Ivy Leagues are not massively overcrowded like UF therefore they have more resources to spend on each student.

you are worrying too early. First they change what they are looking for from year to year. There is nowhere on the application do they ask if you are from the bahamas or born to a haitian. by diversity they mean people involved in different activities and bring different ideas to the school, not where you were born or where your parents were born!!!

1580 is not enough on your SAT. Thats barely over 500 on each section. You have to get into the 1800 range to even think about it. Take some classes and tutoring on the SAT. Plus raise the GPA, you are in competition for spots with other people who have better SATs and GPAs.

looks good on paper. one thing u wanna make sure is that ur not spread too thin. if u have like 5 sports and never stuck with any of them it looks kinda bad. but keep doing community service and ur other activies. shot for about 1800+ on the SATs. (take it multiple times because they take the best of each category...so start taking them as soon as possible.) overall u look pretty good. just keep up the work and u will be fine. u could even shoot for beyond florida.
