Are Pubs and Bars considered a Service or Retail business? I'm leaning towards service... Help please!?

Drawing up a business plan for school, but I need that key detail. Everything else is cake. Hasty response would be MUCH appreciated.

Service businesses would be things like cleaning services or barbers. Pubs and bars serve food and beverage, so they would be retail.

service would be that you are selling your skills; retail or wholesale, you are selling a product - I would say that pubs and bars are classified as retail food establishments.

Definitely a retail business, even though your bar server provides service. After all, the beer is purchased wholesale, and resold for a profit.
