Any business owners, directors, please could you give me some advice?

I have been recruited to book seats for a national business advisory service, for there corporate finance seminars. What would make you go and why? If I were to call you, how could I convince you, what could I offer you that you would come to the free seminar?

As a business owner I received, on a good day, 30 solicitations daily, not including my 100 or so emails. My office manager and staff took and refused most, quickly. It got to a point we could not run the business efficiently. There was one sales call I took and it was a company with a product to eliminate "sales" calls. A call came in, if sales, we hit a button which disconnected and entered into a database and if that same number called again it never made it to our system, the database captured. We reduced sales calls 70%.

"Can I take a couple of moments", "We are not trying to sell you anything", "Can I take some time to introduce our company and/or products", the button was hit, the end. Expect a lot of rejection, be prepared. You will have some showing interest, but a low percentage. This sounds funny, but I always ask what will be there to eat.

Point is, free seminars are held in the Atlanta area daily. I can check my references and attend at any time. No one I have heard has "re-invented the wheel", usually same message, different approach.

Whatever your direction do the best you can. One thing about this job you mentioned, it will be a day job, no weekends.
