Don't get offended, but...?

Why are white people always trying to
move away from black people? they build an mostly white community, then black people start moving in, then all the white people move even further out and do it all over again. we've got business oriented families living out sixty miles from the financial centers now when there's all that real estate just sitting right near downtown with nobody using it for anymore business than to collect welfare and sell drugs.

LOL. Idunno but its hilarious! Therre are many people that still feel intimidated now a day I guess. Sheesh, I am whit and I have a black neighbor on each side of me and it doesn't bother me one bit. So I really don't know. But if there are drugs and a bunch of people on welfare, that would intimidate anybody. I am not sure from your question but did the black people come and they left or did the black people bring the drugs and welfare? They may not have left because of black people, they may have left because of drugs and welfare.

We have the same problem (except with East Indian families moving in) in my neighbourhood, and I live in the suburbs. I wouldn't know, but I'd be willing to bet that other cultural groups do it too. People identify with others from their nationality, so they try to live in areas where they're the majority. Why else would Italians move to Little Italy, or people of Chinese descent move to Chinatown? If those areas suddenly aren't as "authentic" as they once were, the attraction is lost. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I understand why they do it.

I have wondered the exact same thing. My city is just the same (I'm white). The old part of town is where the blacks all mainly live. Then all the new places are mainly white. I don't get it. I bought my house in the newer area just because it was a safer neighborhood with better schools. But I grew up in a neighborhood of all blacks. I don't really think it is intentional, just happens that way I guess.

Because the people who are doing this are ignorant and needs a life. They have nothing better to do than move their flat *** around the whole city to get away from someone and it is really not called for. Their the ones messing up their lifes, not the black people

Hooray for white flight. The media presents black people as dangerous gang members and killers. And fat white Americans, who will of course believe anything that is spoon fed to them, eat it up.

hey believe it or not sometimes black ppl try to move away from other blacks. not just whites.i mean lets face it, they dont have the best reputation.

That must just be a perception you have. People used to want to be in the city, now they don't. They want nice getaways from where they work every day.

because a lot of whites minds are still residing in the 1800's. they feel superior to us blacks and are overall fools. thank God all caucasian's aren't like that.

growing up was not a pleasant experience for me, i am white, i lived in a "white neighborhood" i did not like to live with the white people who were mean and violent, i still prefer to live where a neighborhood is mixed, or where there is as people say, these tried cliques, "there are good hard working blacks" i didn,t make this up, lol,

i am white, and i do not want to live where i patronize anyone, but i live in the southwest now and there are places i would prefer to live, where the attitude is different, but the southwest is spreading,

i am a white person who does not flock to the white people, or to anyone else for that matter. i do not have to agree with some or alot of the white people, which i don,t, but they are also stuck in stereo types now, and victimized by everyone, and treated unfarily, the race card is an issue that should be dealt with, victimizing "whitey" for something he had nothing to do with two and three hundred years ago, blacks have been unfair and unreasonable about this, not denying of the suffering they have endured, and experienced, but it really does not solve world problems to belabor the facts, now it is the white people.;s turn, "let my people go"" but i don,t follow the reasoning behind the thinking of some white people, about blacks, but i possibly would move out if and when blacks moved in, it depends, you know, i would not want to have the blacks some of who are in showbusiness and the music business for neighbors, their lyrics and attitudes do not convey justice, they are filth and foolishness and destruction and an abomination to God fearing Americans and people every and anywhere. being rich is not everything, and they make that very evident, "don,t get offended but,,,,,," so when white people move away, i feel for them, but to tell you the truth, i sure wish i had some nice hard working blacks for neighbors here, you know where i live the landlord is a guy like that who won,t let blacks come around but will rent to junkies and other types who cause an uneasiness,, soooooo, what are you gonna do, yeah, since i am here, i have actually prayed and asked God, to maybe bring some intelligent blacks around, to live in this place, cause the whites are not that swift, and the mexicans are not that swift, so peace and love and success to you, "don, t get offended but"""
