My parents have gun toting fanatics next door to them that have recently shot a pet. What I want to know is..?

they live outside city limits in TX, the property behind them is Nature center and next door to the fanatics are businesses. Is it illegal for them to target practice even though it is outside city limits? One would think that shooting out towards a nature center or near businesses would be illegal. I would just like some info before calling cops.

Outside city limits = completely legal, regardless what surrounds them, as long as they shot whatever on their own property...

I'm not sure about Texas but where I live you can shoot outside the city limit but not toward a business pr anything like that. If they killed a pet they could be charged with cruelty to animals. Call the local humane society and see what they say, then call the cops if it happens again.

You just sound like an anti gun person to me. Far as the one who compared TX to the wild west They should do some reading. They might find out that the crime rate was way lower in the so called wild west. It is better to read then watch TV
