Are you tired of nit-picky/empty presidential campaign rhetoric that avoids real issues?

The following are not being discussed by the campaigns or by new media in the United States:

- Single payer national health insurance

- End of the Middle East Occupation

- Cut wasteful military budget

- Sign on to a carbon pollution tax

- Stop nuclear power development

- End Corporate welfare

- Fair media exposure for third party candidates

- Impeach Bush/Cheney

- Repeal Taft-Hartley

Some of the ideas lifted and modified from http://www.votenader.org/issues/

From what I've heard, real change is not going to be made by the top three contenders. Hillary's idea of health reform is not centered upon the requirements of patients and doctors (who support a single payer system), but is centered on satisfying the needs of the health insurance businesses.

If your state is not a swing state, would you consider voting for a third-party candidate who more closely matches your views on the real issues?

I am quite tired of it and I wish people would realize all the emptiness of it and demand more from their media. More coverage on the issues that matter and less on the scandals and rumors.

Yeah, you're right, that's a good argument for Obama who has become such a controversial divisive figure in this election to drop out.

As long as he keeps playing the race card and his mentor and spiritual adviser Rev Wright keeps making offensive divisive comments we can't get to this real issues with Obama.

Yes, I'm sick of it, but it seems to be what always happens. This is why we never really will have much change, no matter who is elected.
And, shame on the American people for allowing themselves to be distracted by meaningless trivia. If we demanded real talk on important issues, we'd get it.

Ron Paul discusses a number of those, but you might not like what he has to say about single payer health care....

I'll vote for the candidate who best represents me. Right now that is Ron Paul.

I voted for Bush as the lesser of two evils, and I am never doing that again.

Swing state be damned.
