Should I choose Baruch Honor or Syracuse (with low tuition)?

Please help! My primary concern is internship, which has more? I've heard since Baruch is at the heart of business center, it's easier to establish connection. However, Syracuse is more prestigious(can't even find Baruch's name on BusinessWeek ranking). If I go to Baruch, it's free. But for Syracuse, I believe I don't have to pay more than $3000 per year.
I plan to major in accounting and also interested in finance, Baruch is famous for those. However, I'm not settled yet, so I'm afraid if I change my mind during college years,I will be stuck in a business-oriented school like Baruch with no way out(at least Syracuse offers a wider range of opportunities and better reputation for them.)
I have more friends who went to Baruch than those to Syracuse.I want a fairly competitive environment for aspiration and motivation, many smarts kids from my school plan to go there
So which is better?
p.s: I'm living in Brooklyn, New York and yearn for a chance to go away from home, Thanks people

It sounds to me like Syracuse is a better fit for you. It's a chance for you to go away from home, and spread your wings a bit. It's a school with a great reputation - stronger than that of Baruch - and a wider selection of majors. And they seem to be giving you a really sweet deal re: tuition. To me, it looks like Syracuse might be the winner, here, but only you can really determine that.

I went to a school that was outside the big city, and I had no problem getting internships. In fact, Syracuse has a strong enough rep that I bet a lot of NYC companies advertise up there for interns. In addition, you can also contact companies directly re: internship, and a lot of them list their internships on their website, so even if it's not listed at Syracuse, you can still apply.

Don't worry about where your friends are going. You'll make friends once you reach campus. Think instead of which school is a better fit for you, and go there.

Go to Baruch. At the end of your undergrad step back and look at what you want to do. Then use the money saved to get post grad quals like a masters or CPA program that will take you there. IMHO you will be way ahead career wise than with simply going to Syracuse. These days every Tom, Dick and Harry has a bachelors - you really do need post grad quals. What you study in your undergrad is not that important.

Thanks
Bill
