Good bar location? |
I live in a small suburban tennessee town, close to a rather large city. However this town has been booming the past 20yrs and is constantly growing. I want to open a bar because of the 4 true bars in town, 2 actually stay open past 12 during the week and 1 on the weekend. They are also designated redneck hangouts (no offense), I often hear the complaint that there is no good bars in town. However, I wonder if there is enough business to go around to support another bar, there is a lot of money in this town, no good bars, on top of all the restaurant/bars in town.. i.e. chili's, T.G.I.F., aubrey's, etc. I have an available building as well, it's about a mile away from the center of town, this town is pretty spaced out, and close to the industrial factories that seemingly have an abundance of drinkers (my g/f is a waitress and says her restuarant gets flooded with them late at night). Should I only look for a location that is in the center of everything? How many bars can a town support Oh wait, I've heard this joke. How many bars can a town in Tennessee support . . . |
