Is rap dying? |
...Or as they like to call it now, "hip hop". I sure hope so. I'm all for freedom of speach, but I own a store, and our shopping center is just riddled with fatherless kids of all races, in their rediculous "gangsta" attire and Tony Montana t-shirts. They have no respect for anything or anybody. They use absolutely filthy language in front of women, children, elderly, and are disruptive to our businesses...........and it's all influenced by hip hop culture. (I'm only 29, so it's not like i'm an old prude either) They can Take there Duffel Bag Of Lolly Pops and Take a Hike... How do you know these kids are fatherless so please stop with the assumption. Rap or Hip-Hop is the same and yes rap have some influence but life imitate art.The younger generation are subjugated to aggressive, sexual behavior from every media outlet and that affect all kids even the subtle T.V shows print ads to extreme movies.Teenagers minds are very impress-able and so anything perceive by majority will seen as normal but do realize that their are being exploited. i like rap music alot, but its definitely dying. it was so much better just years ago. it used to be poetic. it seriously upsets me how commercial and popular rap is so degrading to women and how violent it is because rap is actually my favorite genre. its all about sex or money or drugs. every song sounds the same and its just so stupid. rap even a yar ago wasnt this bad. if 2pac were alive music would be so different. underground rap is ok, but its just popular rap thats so explicit. |
