What would u do in this situation??? |
my sister works at a grocery store and a woman came in with a problem with some food her husband had bought, the woman wanted 2 exchange it but could not find it on the shelf, she told my sister she could not find it and then turned her back 2 my sister, so my sister gave the woman a refund, my sister works in the business center (where customers pay bills and cash checks), the woman got very nasty with my sister and cursed her out many times (the f word) bc she wanted my sister 2 help her find the product, she did not want a refund but my sister did not know this, the woman did not say anything about help anyway my sister said a few things 2 the woman but did not curse her and she got wrote up 4 telling the woman 2 stop cursing at her, what would u do and do u think it fair??? sorry so long It is not fair and your sister is probably working for a company were the customers always right. What ever happen to employee rights? I think it is utterly unfair for your sister to put up with that, but I do understand everybody's gotta pay bills. That is completely unfair. I've never had a job where if we were being cursed at by a customer we would get in trouble for telling them to not curse or calm down. She shouldn't have gotten written up. If a customer was cursing at me, I would probably threaten to call security if she didn't calm down. I think if I was your sister, I would start looking for another job. She should have calmly informed the customer to produce the receipt. Then advised her to wait while you contacted the manager to assist with her problem. Without a reciept, you would have been unable to determine if the product was purchased from the store. About the only thing I can suggest is the next time your sister is having a problem with a customer, she should call a manager over immediately and let them handle the situation. No one should have to take verbal abuse like that! Unfortunately that is kind of the way it is in the working world. If a patient were to complain about me, I would be in the wrong until proven right. Whatever happened to being innocent til proven guilty? I totally sympathize. People can be such jerks. |

One of my best friends had worked in a call centre and he hated it! He was stressed out about "stupid" people demanding the most obsurd things and he hated waking up to go to work every m... The existing stuff will still be there, but the new developments will be different. ...I just spit Coke Zero on my monitor...thanks a lot! LOL EDIT: I just read this to my husband...he laughed, waited a minute, then had to laugh again. We're so bad! ... |
