Which job should i choose?call center agent or project assistant?

am confused which job should i pursue being a fresh grad in business..I was offered a call center job and eventually passed but i am still hesitant about it due to the negative things about working in one. Working in a call center is very tempting due to high salary plus attractive benefits practicality wise. But the work can be a cause for a high burnout which can have an negative effect on health physically & emotionally. On the other hand, i was offered a job as a project assistant for Johnson & Johnson,a multinational company, but the pay is relatively smaller than that of a call center job but can be useful since the job is related to my field but im quite worried about not making ends meet with lower salary. Now, i am really confused which is way better both in short term and long term.hope you can help me out with this. thanks.

One of my best friends had worked in a call centre and he hated it! He was stressed out about "stupid" people demanding the most obsurd things and he hated waking up to go to work every morning! I'm not saying every call centre is like that but that's the one I've heard about. Making ends meet is important but your sanity and happiness is also important. If it's going to be a workplace you may hate to go to during the week and somewhere you dread going back to on the weekend, it might be better working somewhere you will be looking forward to going into work the next working day. I was working in a place I HATED going to every morning and dreaded having to go back to every weekend. After 2 years of being unappreciated and taken for granted I had enough and LEFT! I now work somewhere I look forward to going into every day and look forward to going in on the weekend. It's taken me YEARS of looking to find a place I actually want to stay for a long time. My husband is still looking for that place. I believe that there's the "perfect" job for everyone out there. It's just a matter of being able to find it.

In my opinion, i would go for the Project Assistant role.
Firstly, i would assume that you could be promoted from Assistant to Project Lead, or Manager then perhaps Programme Manager.
Secondly, although as you have said it is lower paid, in the long run i would say you would have better career prospects.
Taking the best paying job just for the money can be a poor choice.
Lastly, if it is related to your field then you already have an idea of a career path in what you do, so i would stick to it.

Hope this helps.
